Changing fixed sliding door windows to openers?

Hi,
I’m planning on buying a shuttle lwb. It has rear air but not aircon and one of my daughters struggles with car sickness so fresh air in the rear a bonus
Very few people ordering shuttles spec opening ‘kombi windows’
Is it as simple as getting the glass removed and fitting sliders in their place?
Will I be restricted to factory kombi windows or will aftermarket work/be an option?
Anyone done it and have any tips?
Thanks :)

You are correct just remove and replace either original sliders or aftermarket will be fine. Some have replaced their factory sliders with aftermarket due to the slider leaking

I’ve read that the panel opening is different for factory and aftermarket windows so the black ‘masked’ area at the edge of the glass doesnt cover the metalwork completely when you fit aftermarket glass on factory apertures. Also tints can be different.

Perhaps do some archive searching / googling.

Regards
Ian

I’ve done quite a bit of searching but for fixed to slider. Guess I need to look for factory slider to aftermarket (as I’m sure the factory pressings are the same for fixed or slider)

Tint I can deal with as I will probably tint all round too
