Hi All

Does anybody know how i can check my new van is a T30 the dealer has registered it and the log book has come back as a T28.
Could be dealer error or could have been supplied the wrong van.

Thanks
Colin

There is a sticker under the bonnet on the bulkhead on the LHS.

ok thanks both of you
at least its the right van i'll get it sorted with the DVLA and bypass asking the dealers to sort it out they have been enough agg already

Next issue
how do you know what variant it is log book says
Transporter T28 T-LN TSI BMT what does T-LN mean the T28 bit we have already sorted
It is a highline

Sorry didn’t read you had a Highline, it looks like it’s registered as a trend line.

cheers
someones made a right balls up T30 Highline registered as T28 Trendline
now i've got that info i can get it sorted with the DVLA

Thanks
I checked the VIN first thing that all matches
DVLA said send V5 back with a covering letter and their re-issue a new one

Dear DVLA
The incompetent VW dealer registered my T32 Sportline as a T28 Trendline....

Got to be worth a try....

When I got mine it said T-LN on the book but it's a Highline , had a bit of a job to get it swapped over but the independent dealer did it for me , he checked the other vans on his books and several were wrong so he was glad I spotted it !!! It now reads the correct H-LN

@Bargy62 I know you are sorting this yourself but, with the comment above, there may be other vans coming out of the dealership registered incorrectly which other, less eagle eyed, owners may not have spotted yet - probably still worth a courtesy call to the dealer to tell them about the balls up and the grief you having to go through to correct.

I honestly don't think its the dealers fault as everything else I've had from them is correct even a form proving the van was road taxed from the DVLA with all the details correct.
I reckon its DVLA human error

I’d still tell them as, wherever the problem was, if they put a few through at the same time chances are others are wrong as well.

just a quick update on this thread FINALLY got the V5C back today with all the correct details over 5 months later
but the next question is
Does a panel van to campervan/motor caravan conversion stay as N1 cat or change to M1
could anyone who knows or had a conversion lately check their V5 section J as i'm well confused.
