Child safety/Safe sliding door rear front passenger side electrical malfunction in circuit (Fault code: B1A75F0)

Hi everyone,

I recently did a full scan with obdeleven pro on our 2020 VW T6.1 Multivan and this error came up.

I tried to google the fault code, the error description etc. but so far no luck.

Also I not sure we even have child lock on this door (but I might be wrong, we bought this car recently). Again I tried to google how child lock should look like on this model, but I am guessing it would be where this oval plug is. The door has soft close.

Also upon closer look I noticed some oxidation on the door contact. Is it an issue and if so how should I clean it?

Lastly I cleared the errors (there were others during initial scan) and this is one came back during the following scans.

Any ideas/suggestion on how to fix this issue are appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I would guess the fault code is about (child lock or) Safe Lock feature?
Is it sometimes also called dead lock? when you lock the car with key fob and it can not be opened from inside unless the button on the pillar next to the driver seat is pressed? I saw the button but didn't know what exactly it does until i googled it

Yes, the same one.
Thank you.

Need to research how to find and get to some entry points of this electrical circuit and what kind of checks to perform to find out the issue (which is hopefully does not involved disassembling half of the van)

Is anything actually broken or not working ?
Excellent question! I don’t know if I am honest. Trying to understand how this safe lock actually suppose to work to find out if it’s broken or not.

Sit inside van and lock with key fob, that should deadlock the doors then try and open them all from the inside

If it’s a 6.1 then with the van unlocked try and open all the doors with child lock on AND off

Tried the following from inside the van:
1. Pressed once on lock button on key fob. Sliding door is locked and can not be opened from outside or inside.
2. Pressed twice on lock button on key fob. Sliding door is locked and can not be opened from outside but can be opened from inside.
3. Noticed we also we have this button

While all doors are open it seems like I can lock/unlock the sliding door only with this button

Need to check the other doors later
