If anyone is after genuine VW Chrome trim I've just come off the phone from the parts dept at my local dealer, their computer now shows standard chrome has been discontinued and they are only stocking 'dark chrome' from now on. I'm after a streamer pack, both sides and tailgate to fit after a two tone respray and if I want genuine VW it'll have to be dark chrome.

Hmm.. Any idea of how black chrome looks..? Anyone any pics..?

Shame in a way. Some subtle chrome touches lift a dark colour.

I'm going for full gloss black at the front on mine to break up the white but must admit @T6180 the double chrome strip does look nice.

It's nearly 2yrs ago and the ebay link goes nowhere I'm afraid. I remember it came from Poland and was listed as a roll of chrome auto trim.

6mm sounds quite narrow. I'll go and measure mine.

Ok it's 20mm wide and much flatter at the back so that isn't the same stuff.

I will try to dig it out of the garage today and take a couple. I had thought about taking it round to a mate who used to be a plastic welder to ask his opinion, but never gout round to it.
