Completely stumped trying to find source of passenger side door leek

Hey guys. I know there’s been a few post on here about water coming in to the steps of the cab. I’ve got a similar problem and have read through as many of the old posts as I could find but coming up short.

So I’ve got water building up on my passenger side step. I thought it was the rubber seal along the top edge of the passenger and sliding doors as my van is 2008 and I could see the material was wearing. However, I’ve just replaced that this morning and hosed down the side of the van and water is still coming in.

Since then, I’ve started pouring water only against the lower part of the window glass to isolate my test to water going past the weather seal. I’ve pulled the door card back and I can see water filling up on the inside of the card. Yet I’m just can’t seem to locate the source. Have tried to attach some photos. It doesn’t seem like much but it’s definitely finding a path around edge of the bare metal card in the door which the speaker is mounted to.

I don’t have speaker upgrades. Drain holes at the bottom of the door seem clear. Hoping someone who knows these doors really well can help shed some light!

Just an addendum to this. I’ve just tried pouring water down the window with the door open and I can’t see that the water is coming out the bottom of the door card so maybe the info in my post is misleading. If I close the door and pour water the build up in the step still happens. Maybe water is supposed to be draining somewhere and instead it’s building up in the step. Given the amount of water in the pictures v.s. the amount of water in pouring that seems likely. Just not sure if/where the water should be draining to

Apologies, bit of a monologue here but I also wonder if this is just circumstantial. My van is parked never so slightly on a gradient where the passenger side front wheel is marginally higher than the driver side rear. Could it be that the angle means that water just can’t gravitate towards this hole?! Just seems like poor design for this to be the case though

It is not just water not being able to get out but where is it getting in? Have you had a look in the relevant section of the form or tried a search. I guess at the moment everyone is worshipping he sun just in case it runs away and hides again before possible snow latter in the week!
