Continuity Bonding of the gas system

This statement was written on my habitation check carried out today:

“ Check with manufacturer regarding a continuity bond (earthing) of the gas system as no readings obtained on test date and could not see visually “

I will contact Habcheck and ask for a bit more information on what the statement means - however just thought I would ask here as well.

Cheers Alan

I’m guessing they have checked continuity between the gas system and chassis and got infinity. It‘s an easy job to fit a bonding strap and earth cable.

In the house, Under the boiler, link all the copper pipes together to include gas and water and heating flow and return, and then continue in 10mm earth back to the main earth block at the incomer/Fuse box.

The same principle on the van, just join everything together.

With copper pipe you can bond the pipe to the chassis. However if non metallic pipe fitted you can bond the appliance to the chassis.
