Conversion

Make sure you speak to Ed at Celtic Motorhomes whilst your at Busfest.

Don't just look at the conversion but look at the kit they have used, which seat bed is best for you, which roof you prefer, what fridge is best, do you want heating etc.., and then don't be afraid to tell your converter what YOU want.

You might also want to go to the Motorhome Show at the NEC 11-16 October as several of the bigger companies will be there.

Hi, Great photos thank you! Re the photo of the underslung gas tank I am wondering where the spare wheel fits?

In the same place it does on every other T6. Gas tank is a 12ltr tank and fits in between the rear suspension arms. where the final drive would be on a four motion. Note spare wheel carrier without the wheel in the pic. Hope this helps.

Thanks. The missing spare wheel carrier made me think there wasn't room for one after the gas tank was fitted. I know of at least one converter who gives you a tyre repair kit once he fits a gas tank because he can't fit in the spare wheel as well. (And I'm not talking about a 4motion). Cheers

Some converters fit 20ltr tanks, don't know why. This is 12ltr which is more than enough.

I think that's one of the best looking conversions I've seen @BiTurbo , and a great advert for Buspoke!

One thing I'd like to ask though, you have an underslung water tank, gas tank, and room for a spare wheel? I have a Westfalia conversion and the waste water tank takes up the space the spare wheel would be, with the gas bottle and fresh water tank inboard. I'd love to be able to rejig this like yours to create more internal storage (and cheaper gas fill-ups). I realise part of it is that you have more underfloor space being LWB, but where is your water tank? And do you have a waste or does it vent straight out?

Absolutely love your little rear lounge by the way!

Thankyou fella, very kind of you.
Yes I have a 27ltr water tank that runs up the drivers side, a 12ltr gas store LGP tank. And the spare wheel fitted as VW intended it to be.
The waste runs out though a connection port that's connected to a waste container.
Purchased 7lts of gas recently £3.53 cheaper than chips.
Internal space was a main focus of the build, hence battery under seat. So the battery/ gas cupboard is now a 48inch long storage cupboard deal for table, wind breaks, etc

Thanks for the info  I'm going to have to rethink what I want from the van I think

If you ever want to have a look around my bus fella, or want a chat just ask

Ok

Just seen your last comment,

The rear is not just a lounge, it's seatbelted and does carry 6people for time to time.

Hi Guys
been reading your post with interest, im a newbie - recently bought a t6 highline and now lookin to convert. I've had in lowered bit thats about it. Spoke to a few converters and an auto guy who did my sons T4 but still not sure in which order to go about things? - should I fit windows first, have it insulated sound proofed and carpeted first (what options are there to carpet?)
Thanks!!
