Coolant temp sensor

Vw t6 caac engine sensor reading 90 degrees even when cold , new one fitted still the same

I think there is more than one sensor - maybe even 3.
I am assuming you are referring to the temperature display on the dash that is constantly at 90?

No two coolant sensors beside each other pass side of engine ,one moves up gradually when warming up but the other is constantly at 90 degrees, when read in engine data on obd ,unless there is a third one,problem is glow plugs no switching on in morning

maybe a wiring issue then ? What does it read with the plug disconnected ?
