Copart special just landed

Howdo everyone, as title says my Copart T6 arrived late last night. Too late to have a proper mooch round it but just had a good look and it’s not too bad. Needs a new bonnet, front bumper and possibly a rad as it’s not holding water. Back doors don’t open and they are quite heavily dented at the bottom so a possible reason they’re jammed shut. But fairly happy as it will be a long term project , not turning it into a camper it’ll be used just as a work van.
So apologies in advance as I’ll no doubt be carpet bombing the entire site with incredibly stupid questions
Cheers, Mick

Sorry, thats the best I could do.
Good luck with the project. What is your line of work (as in, what will the van be used for)?

Think I’m going to need as much luck as I can get thanks. Had a quick look yesterday between rain showers and it looks like there may be a couple more things broken
Passenger side headlight has a broken tab, does this mean I need a new headlight?

This top part ( slam panel??) is slightly cracked but it seems to be way out from where it should be, it’s fine one side but about an inch on the other so I don’t think there’s any doubt that a new one is needed

It’s finally fine here so going to have a good go at getting the front bumper off so I can see what’s what under there :)

You should be able to pick up a lot of the bits you need to fix it on here.
Things like lights and bumper that get upgraded.
Good luck with your project

Quick Google says it’s a radar sensor possibly for cruise control which my van doesn’t have.
It does have one of these dash cams so maybe connected?

I would have thought you’d be getting fault messages from it (which I think would be an mot failure) and you may crash into the back of someone when distracted as without this it will be impossible to avoid :)

If you know some details of the collision; what was involved (tonnes) and how fast you might be able to know how far to look when it comes to damage.
It may not just be the superficial stuff like head lamps, panels etc. Some significant forces involved in collisions, could damage sub-frame, engine mounts, exhaust emission (DPF), etc.
It might be worth getting a detailed tracking check before you get stuck in.
