Cruise Control Retrofit Euro5

Hello,

I contacted kufatec to buy a cruise control kit to my 2016 VW T6 (Euro 5, without rear wipers, BCM ***-937-090-***) since many people here buy it there.

He told me it's not possible to fit the cruise control via stalk because I have a Multifunction steering wheel (here is a picture), is it true ?
And that I must buy this version for Multifunction steering wheel at 450€ !!?

Anyone here managed to add cuise control on stalk on a T6 euro 5 with Multifunction steering wheel ?

I think it is possible since somes sellers like the one I was talking yesterday here : Tempomat GRA Nachrüstsatz für VW T6 7E ab BJ. 2015 have the option "Multifunction steering wheel / with OR without" and the final price is 159€ (I think I don't need the MFA option on this link that add the trip button if I understand weel, on the right stalk, since I already have on my steering wheel this button).

Thank you !
We have done many genuine cruise control Installs with stalk and with that wheel you have … many vans came with the same setup from factory

Thank you both for your responses.

Yes I've checked this topic but since it's for euro 6 I'm not sure it concern me.

I've told kufatec it's possible since others sellers say it is and here is his response :

Thank you for your request.

We are retrofitting the cruise control how it would be ex factory installed. If your car has a multfunction steering wheel the cruise control will be controlled through the buttons of the multifunction steering wheel buttons.

Regarding the retrofit of the other company we can not say something, but it is not the same like it would be ex factory
He just want to sell the expensive version of the cruise control that goes on the wheel...

I'm quite sure the stalk for T5.2 is compatible with the T6 euro 5 when I see this on ebay Genuine VW Transporter T5.2 T6 Cruise Control Kit - No Rear Wiper / Without TRIP | eBay

And kufatec has this version too here if I'm not mistaken KUFATEC cruise control set for T5 Without rear wiper, without MFD, from 04.11.2013
The price is the same as the link I posted this afternoon here from the other seller : Tempomat GRA Nachrüstsatz für VW T6 7E ab BJ. 2015

For the VCDS modification I've founded someone that have the real version that will make the modification for me :) it's better than having a clone one.

Hello !

I've finally managed to do the cable modification on my T6 euro 5 with stalk.

Now I have a problem with coding.
I have to activate with VCDS but I can't do it like the seller told me (entering 11463 in the menu 11 since I can't clic on it, It's because I am in long coding I think !)
How do I activate it with long coding ?

I search by myself and what I did is that :
I went on 08 - Coding, then pressed long coding helper, went on byte 5 (number 06) where it was selected 00 - cruise control system (ccs) not activated, and I choosed the value 20 - ccs activated.
It just changed the whole code by replacing 06 by 26. I saved, but it's not working, when I put the ccs switch in the on position, there is no light ?
I checked the long code once again, it's the on with my modification.
Can someone help me ?
Thank you !

I also tried to go to 09 - electrical central -> coding - 07 and went to byte 17 and checked cruise control system (ccs) installed but it's still the same :(

You are touching right parts...
Please post 1) a full Auto-Scan before any coding, and 2) current Auto-Scan.

You can monitor status of the Cruise Control switches:

IGN ON
09-Centr.Electr. > Adv.Meas.Values >
Tick the following
  • Cruise Control Main Switch
  • Cruise Control Cancel Switch
  • Cruise Control SET/Decelerate
  • Cruise Control RESET/Accelerate
Play with the switches and verify the measured values follow...

Thank you ! I have no error in the auto scan.

I tried the Adv.Meas.Values and I only have the reset/accelerate who is changing statut when the main switch is on the ON position. But the main switch is always at "off" on VCDS even when it's on :/

Just wanted to compare the codings with known ones.
oh okay, so here it is (I had founded one error at last but after erasing it, it's not here anymore).

I'm wondering if there is a problem with the cables or not. I've done the cables very carefully and had no problem with the colors and the numbers.

I'm wondering if I pushed enough the cables, I heard some "clic" noise and the cables won't come back so I thought it was okay.PXL_20211129_154017471.jpg

It's now working I think (don't have the time to test it) but I checked all my cables by removing the steering wheel and I managed to push even more the ones we saw on my picture just near the stalk, and now on VCDS all 4 button are working :) and when I put it on, on the dashboard it shows me it's on :)
