Diesel Heater exhaust

Are there any issues if I shorten the exhaust for the diesel heater? It’s quite long and low to the ground and catches on the entrance bumps to where I live and has also caught on other parts of the roads I drive on.

Is there a minimum length it should be?

There should be a bracket about half way down the exhaust pipe that secures it to the van, the last 6” or so should bend down slightly, but not be lower than the lowest point on the van. I’d make sure it’s fixed properly before chopping lumps off.

I would put the fixing higher up. That bracket sticking out below the tray is asking to get ripped off.

You mean an installer not authorized professional! A professional would not use a stand-off like that.

Do your 90 degrees at the stand-off then cut it shorter. The length is just on the max of150mm, possibly 155mm, by my measurement, you can cut it shorter.

We wouldn't install like that or exit there either
