Years ago on my old T5 Multivan, I have de-soldered the piezo buzzer from the door control module hidden behind the side covers. Happy days, no more awoken babies when closing the door
I've just upgraded to a T6, so it looks like I'll have to take the soldering iron out again.
Just want to say thank you. We're out camping in our Multivan right now and we're stressing over the beeping sound waking our sleeping son. I was thinking there must be a way to end the beeping. And here we go
I need to do the same to the rear door. But I guess it's the same deal.
I once had a microwave that insisted on sounding 5 long and very loud annoying beeps on completing cooking plus 1 beep per button push to start with. I took the cover off and stabbed the piezo speaker with a screwdriver (no subtleties like de-soldering! That put an end to it. I must say though that a totally silent microwave is a bit odd to begin with. Important note - Don't take your microwave apart unless you know how to discharge the capacitor first since there is a possibility of a huge shock even after unplugging.
