DIY Internal Bike Rack

Few pics of the DIY bike rack for the rear of the T6. We wanted to be able to get the eMTB's in the back without having to remove any wheels, they just fit in the LWB and no more. The rack is just a couple of shop bought stands that are bolted to a length of heavy duty electrical cable trunking which is then secured to the chassis via the standard load lashing points. Not quite finished, once I finish the insulation and sound proofing we have some grab rails to which we will attach a couple of spare arms from the bike rack - these will get mounted to the new ply lining (with strengthening in behind them) and this should hold the bikes nice and secure and out of sight from prying eyes. All very easy to remove when not required. 20190307_155904.jpg 20190307_152052.jpg 20190307_161647.jpg

Nice setup, I once used a plank of wood in a Discovery as a temporary measure but it ended up working really well. We removed both front wheels and bolted the forks to a bracket on the plank and that was it, no movement whatsoever no matter how hard I drove.

I'm picking up a SWB Kombi tomorrow and won't have as much room as your LWB has so will probably do the same again...
