Do I have the factory Uprated Alternator Battery combo?

Will post it up when I know mate. I was going to have a vcds unit . Friends garage closed and he offered it to me. It is yet to aspire. .... it will be fin for now, no doubt.

problem is, with a larger capacity battery, and stop start/smart alternator only charging the battery to 80%, the system is likely to calculate how much charge it has put into the battery and only replenish to 80% of the set, smaller battery capacity.
As an interim measure you could disconnect the sense wire from the shunt on the battery negative terminal, the system will then charge the battery at a nominal rate and not take account of the capacity.

@Grim Reaper Cheers fella. Just to note my local Van center is £19.99 to have the battery reprogrammed. Off to Ireland so may be worth pulling off the shunt meantime as cant get into the van center before two weeks away
