Does my Transporter shuttle SE have ac in the rear.

Have owned the van for 6 months and assumed the rear had ac but could not get it to work. Two van centres have seen the van and one said it does have rear AC and one said it didn't. Is there a way of finding out.

Ta.

Does your heater control panel look like this. Pressing the 'A/C' or 'A/C max' button first, then pressing the 'Rear', switches my AC on in the back of my SE. It's a bit counter intuitive. Same with the 'Rest' function.

Nope not as fancy as that! Out of interest what does the rear passenger controls look like on yours.

I have rear heating and air con. in my kombi . It is only basic, not posh like caravelles ;). As dials below, select hot and it blows hot air from the lower units, select cold and cool air blows out the roof vents.

Mmmhm. I thought the 3 area climatronic system like mine was standard on the SE. What year is your Shuttle?

Just looking at the craftely changed wording between 2015 and 2016 Shuttle brochure.

Look at option/photo 08

2015 brochure suggests A.C. front and rear.
2016 brochure is worded differently. Suggests A.C. front but only heating in rear.

That looks to me like one of the many VW dieselgate cost cutting stealth spec changes. Although there's not much subtle about dropping the A.C. from the rear of a greenhouse on wheels. There is a member on the forum who I think may do A.C. retrofitting and servicing. Perhaps they could help of its something your interested in doing. Just trying to recall who it is now.

I’ve got 3 zone clamate controls on my Shuttle and deffo not standard fit. Front controls have the digital readout as previously shown. Their is also a dig control in the middle row roof lights to control rear temp fans etc.

I have had my T6 for 4 months and decided to camp out last night. I have the same controls as you and the heater is in the rear. Can I use this heater without the ignition on as a night heater? Tia

Mine does not work without the engine running as this is were the heat is generated from i believe. The hot water from the engine runs to the rear heating unit on mine AFAIK
