Love it!Kids should be in seat belts not lying on the floor, amazed there is enough room on the floor for kids and dogs

That’s a stunning dog, I had a long haired German shepherd myselfHere some pictures of how I transport my dog in the van, there is also solutions included for air circulation for the dog cage.

Yep, lashing point would do the trick. My cynical view is that if the dog is going to go flying through the air, you’re already in a world of shit anyway! There is a big difference between dogs on the floor behind you and kids/adults in seats directly behind you.As Jog says my 2 spaniels just have their beds behind the seats in the back and they just sleep until We stop travelling
You could use a car harness attached to one of the lashing points if you really want them restrained in the case of an accident
Thought it was a GSD not a pit-pony !I wouldn't want +70kgs of loose load flying about in the event of an accident.
The weight was in relation to mine (Newfoundland) not the OPs.Thought it was a GSD not a pit-pony !
50kg max.....
......but agree it needs to be secure
Hiring a campervan? Presumably seat belts on the rock and roll rear seat? Harness with tether clipped in to seat belt?Hi Folks
We are newbies to campervans and to this forum and are going to hire a LWB T6 before we potentially buy one. We have a large German Shepherd and would welcome any advice on how to keep her secure while we are travelling. We got rid of our cage as it was huge - even if we still had it it probably would be too big to use in the van. Any suggestions please ?
We have a x breed terrier and a cocker (both rescued). No seatbelts in back of campervan. Terrier lays still on bed/seat. Cocker moves from seat to floor and then is sick within 20 minutes from setting off.As Jog says my 2 spaniels just have their beds behind the seats in the back and they just sleep until We stop travelling
