Door card, Pillars and headliner trim

I think this is the route am going to go down for the lower plastics. Use my van as a daily so it gets mucky pretty easily with being in and out of it with work and what not. Don’t want to spend a fortune and material just to scuff it.
I saw on a T4 forum that one member used buzzweld pio black spray. So ordered some along with some Upol primer. Will spray spare door cards first and see what it ends up like. Thinking of trimming the inner panel with the GTI material to match seats too. Apparently the paint is very tough, and easy to apply when prepped. Will still be trimming headliner and pillars nearer the windows .
Done a cracking job on them.

I used Buzzweld PIO and it states to not use a primer but it marked straight away. For the money it was very poor.

Im half tempted to go down the raptor (done on fine) route as you can get it in any RAL

Yeah that’s a good shout. Hopefully try and get mine done over the weekend so will be able to show some results.

So finally got round to spraying the door cards this weekend. Wash a couple of times, rubbed down with scotch bright to get the shine off. Then I ran a blow torch over the doors, apparently it changes the molecules in the PP Plastic to allow paint to adhere. ( not sure if true but saw it and thought why not)
I then primed them with UPOL Plast 2. Then give them 4 light coated of Buzzweld Pio. Paint went on really well. Then a few Coates of clear Laquer. Really happy with them. Time will tell how they get on with scuffing and what not.
Decided to paint inners too so really didn’t need to take apart. But will be putting suede on the ones coming off van so good practice.

I now have a Caravelle, the roof vents and switches are cream/white. Has anyone painted these, or what do people do with them if they have a suede roof lining?
