Door interior trim

Hi the black textured plastic trim on top of doors seems to be affected by the sun and is going a bit flaky how can I resurface this many thanks.

The actual texture is ok it's whatever the coating on it is that is flaking!!!

Probably best to wrap them, upholster them if you can? Plastic can be rubbed with Brasso to remove a thin layer of plastic (A bit like when you use T-Cut for paint).
