Door opening warning lights

I was looking at adding a safety feature in the form of door opening warning lights wired into the courtesy light circuit

There appears to be a ready made hole in the door for them... but i can't find any threads on the forum regarding it being done...

Has anyone added this feature or could suggest a suitable LED / fitting thats used there...

They go in the edge of the door card. A red footwell light would do the job like the ones @saxoboy has

I suppose its an option deaky.. but why dremmel the door card when there's already a hole there...

This hole is an access hole to reach screw which holds outside door handle/lock barrel.
It is really better to do it as @Deaky has said.

It's a funny one this, 400 sounds like a lot of money but is actually not far of the price of a complete power folding mirror and maybe slightly less if you factor in painting and fitting

I just wondered if a T6 version was available as the VW Golf utilises this hole for the door open warning light... as shown and available here VW Golf safety light

Unfortunately a different size hole...
