Door Seal makes drivers door hard to close

Try closing the door with the window open, if the door shuts no problem then it’s almost certainly the fact that the air pressure in the van is the cause
It was shutting ok before I put the rubber on. The van is brand new, just strange how one side is fine the other not?

I had this. Passenger side was good, drivers side was a bit of a pain! The seal got ripped off by the jet wash a few weeks ago and the door has been fine since.

I just got used to closing the door twice every time I got out! Haha
Had the same with my last van, not sure why they seem to do this!!

This has been posted before, the instructions for my door seals are different for the drivers and passengers doors.

Worth a go it worked for me.

Update, just watched a video on YT, the guy had the same issue and trimmed the rubber back so it only covered the edge top to bottom, omitted the bit along the bottom. It worked fine on his, so may try this

Hi there, I’ve got the same issue and it has had the extra door seal fitted.

I’ve traced the route of the seal and it’s identical to the passenger side which closes fine.

From memory, I think the drivers door was more tricky to close than the passengers even before the extra door seal.

Any further advice appreciated.@Chopsey did you manage to get it sorted?
I have the exact same problem as you with the added extra seal. Be good to find a solution. I tried the advice given by THQ and pin p***k the seal no joy there

I cut a small hole in the seal to allow any water to drain on the bottom edge. No issues here. I'm wondering if it allows the pressure to escape more easily when slamming as there are 3 exits?

It wasn't too bad but would happen occasionally before.
