Door speakers not working

Hi all, looking for some advice on newly purchased 2018 T6.

Neither door speakers are not working. Previous owner has added rear speakers and upgraded the tweeters, all working. Van is running the standard vw headunit (non satnav) but the fader option hasn’t been enabled.

Any ideas of an easy fix?

Quite common malfunction is speaker magnet adhesive failure. This causes speaker magnet shift and it mechanically jams the speaker coil. Unfortunately VAG OEM speakers don't use "old skool" additional rivets.
Worth to note that scanning for fault codes won't show any and this could be a little bit confusing to say the least.

Interesting. Repairable or better to bin them and replace them with some better ones?

I never managed to re-centre the magnet and get it permanently fixed in its original position, so I would replace.

Just had a chance to take the door card off and have a look and these are the speakers in there. Are aftermarket speakers known to have the same issue as OEM ones or does it seem like there’s another issue?

Maybe corrosion on the speaker terminals

Look under the seat for cabling (RCA,speaker, etc), maybe they took the amplifier when they sold it to you. A pillar speakers like that are very expensive, I doubt it was not fully upgraded.

Anyone recommend anyone in the Surrey/ Hampshire area that I could take the van to and have it looked at properly?
