Double Swivel

Still think the MS Craft seat is best, pulled back you get to sit looking out the slider door gives more options and easy to spin
That does look better than our Kiravans double swivel, we have to wrestle our seat to turn it around.

It does look as though they have had some issues with it though;

Please note!

>>>It is not suitable for seats with integrated airbag inside the backrest or for seats with occupancy sensors inbuilt!<<<

In order to prevent damage to sliding construction seat can only be used extended on solid surface floor! We reccomend 9-12mm plywood with vinyl or rubber flooring (please message us if unsure).

i have the 12 mm floor and vinyl it has 2 x 2 1/4 inch wheels that run over it

not a down problem to me but there are 2 bolts on the inside storage if the seat storage is full i only keep a few coats and boots in my under seat storage and the Jack and only use these when traveling ( the Bolts )

my best buy of the whole fit out... very heavy plate and helps counter balances the battery under the drivers seat.

and no re-site or taking the hand brake off is a added Bonus in my book

i do plan to fit the 10 degree tilt too that wont effect any movement

Yes my van got written off in November struck lucky finding my new van a 2019 with 3500 miles on lwb 150 dsg shuttle compared to previous t26 84 bhp twin captains not doing the full camper route this time though

@Linoleum Bonypart sorry to hear it but destiny brought you a nicer one... i went for a day van build to more suit my needs.. well it's more a Dirty weekender lol and kept it looking like a Van

I’m looking to fit a swivel base to the passenger bench seat. I’ve ruled out the kiravan base due to the height increase.
What other options are available, if any?
I’d prefer to keep the bench seat with the extra storage it provides. But I’m open to fitting an OEM passenger swivel seat if it’s possible.
Cost isn’t too much of an issue so long as the solution is right.
Hi I've taken a kiravans double swival and seat out of my van the seat base was a lower one that kept it all the original height this is all available for sale.Im in Christchurch Dorset

My Kiravans double passenger swivel is only slightly higher than the drivers seat which doesn’t have a swivel.

@Chris Sherwood we found that to improve comfort with the standard uphoulstry the base height isn't super critical, but it's the support under the passengers legs which prevents a numb bum! We've extended ours forward and up slightly to give better support behind the knees.

@AshleyM we've developed a quick release mechanism (with a safety catch obviously!) in place of the back bolts which is far more user friendly. We also use bolts inside to secure the mechanism; however as our rotation happens at the top of the base and the lower part remains static this is simply a case of flipping the base forward and the bolts are immediatley to hand.

Came across this DCD Transporters quick-release swivel base this morning and from what I see it looks to be one no-nonsense quick way to spin the double passenger seat, has anyone here got one of these?
I personally find my 4 knobs double seat a pain to undo etc.

The link to the product is: Double seat Swivel. Quick release — DCD Transporters

If only some clever engineer could engineer a VWT6 twin passenger seat that flips as so many seats on motorboats do, it'd make any VW Campervan so much more user-friendly.

Has anyone used the

Jennings Navigator VW T5/T6 Quick Release Double Seat Swivel

We were thinking of changing to Captain’s seat which is so expensive as our double seat turn is so clunky but this looks so much better
