Drive away awning advice

Hi there all, looking for some guidance.
Is there any reason I couldn’t put a right hand drive away awning on the left hand side of the van?
I have a T6 LWB kombi and the plan is to have my kitchen pull out the tailgate & ideally I drive in forwards to any pitch, tailgate up, kitchen out when in use and awning attached on the left door.
Looking at awning that has bedrooms, like the Kampa Touring for example.
Hope this makes sense, any advice welcome.
Thanks

Most places I've been to insist you reverse in. Some may be OK, but I can see a few getting snotty with your plan for that alone.

Just choose your sites carefully - lots of sites have all manner of odd/ ridiculous/ inexplicable rules.

Sites with a regimented hardstanding layout are much more likely to object to your suggested orientation than those with an open field layout, such as those found on a working farm, but nothing is guaranteed, so ask in advance rather than just arrive and hope for the best.

Take a long hard look at the logistics of drive away awnings before you part with any money. Everybody wants one until they get one. Unless you have a specific need for either the extra space or for it to be attached to the van (small kids sleeping in the awning maybe) Then there are better alternatives imho. As always, just my personal opinion FWIW.

Sites we have been on work to his.
If you put an awning on its a camper and parks on position marked for caravan or tent.
If you use a tent it takes the camping position and your vans goes in parking space.
This is normally for fire reasons.
If cooking in the front of the tent or awning it needs to point to the road not the tent behind for fire again.
