That makes interesting reading @Roadrunner I would quite happily pay for a licence or permit I think there's a time and a place to use them, hovering over built up areas and people's houses is a no no but like everything else it's the minority that ruins it for everyone
I remember a friend of mine bought a new Parrott AR drone when they came out. Bragged for ages about getting it.
They live in central London and went up to the roof to test fly it, I am not sure they really thought it through but that area is swamped with RF from wifi and mobile etc. Anyway, set it up switched it on, initiated hover at which point it took off at a rapid rate of knots, and flew off into the sunset never to be even again. laugh? I nearly had a coronary..
