DSG 2nd to 3rd gear problems

hi,

t6.1 7 speed dsg + 4motion - got quite an unusual issue - at low speeds gearbox hesitates between second and third gear - no error codes - DMF recently changed due to noise but that did not help with shifts - also noticed that more vibrations form the drive for the past 15k km. car has 100k km right now.

anyone had similar issues? thanks

Does it hesitate going up the box or not changing down when needing a little more throttle response/ acceleration?

It basically shakes the car. And if let of the throttle than it calms down and gear is selected

Have you reset the parameters of the DSG reset. That would be the first thing to do. So it re-learns

Have you done an oil and filter change on the box? Should be done every 40k miles/64000km

done 3 times already but the first one was in vw dealer so it could have been virtual :) im sure they did not touch the filter and the box was spotless after oil change so maybe the did not even change oil :)

Hi there.
I think I got a similar problem.

My DSG usually shifts 2->3 gear at around 2k rpm.

However, at times it holds 2nd up to 3k or revs with no apparent reason. It happens when driving downhill as well as on a flat road, on both S and D mode indiscriminately.

This behavior occurs only sometimes, I haven’t been able to pinpoint the exact circumstances leading to this behavior.

Here’s a short video demonstrating what I describe above. Here I’m driving on a slightly downhill road. Cold start. Here the hold lasts for a few seconds, other times it would last longer (30s easily).

Any clue?

VW T6 2.0 150 hp 2017. DSG 7gear. DSG oil change at 70k and 111k km.

On top of that, shifting from and to 2nd gear feels harsh in general, no weird noises but I can definitely feel a kick feeling

I would say it's normal when DSG's coasting function is disabled. The key thing to reproduce is to have fairly light foot on throttle - thus accelerating very slowly (especially downhill).
I also complained about the behaviour and even had with VW garage a specific gentle downhill stretch to reproduce the behaviour 100% on quite a few different T6's.

Oh. Interesting. I experience that with coasting enabled too. Would that be normal too?

Never really experimented coasting enabled. I would expect it's the same.
