I think it has changed on the T6.1 then. Mine seems to work very well. In fact if Im not paying attention in a queue of traffic when the car in front sets off that restarts my engine. When I’ve put mine in neutral (or park) with stop/start active, it doesn’t restart when I expect it should. One of the reasons I try to always remember to turn stop/start off!
Hi,
A couple of DSG questions, options please -:
At the traffic lights, is it best to put the van in Neutral or just hold it in drive on the brake?
Is it better to have the Coasting function on or off? I thought off would be better for fuel economy. (I have a DSG van that I drive like I'm taking a weeks worth of eggs to market and get 30 mpg average)
Advice appreciated, thanks.
Have you checked to see if your brake lights are still on? I know our old Mk7 Golf left it's brake lights on even if you came off the pedal, but that might have been an electric park brake / auto hold thing.it's definitely best to put it in neutral for the person sat behind you so they don't have to stare at your brake lights...
#pethate!!
That'll be the auto hold system.Have you checked to see if your brake lights are still on? I know our old Mk7 Golf left it's brake lights on even if you came off the pedal, but that might have been an electric park brake / auto hold thing.
SnapAlways leave it in gear and foot on brakes at the lights.
no coasting function on my van.
