E transporter speed limit

Hi guys first post in here, I have a 2021 e transporter that has a 60mph speed limit on, can this be removed or de restricted? And if so by volkswagon or another source and what sort of cost would it be ? Thanks, Greg

If it was installed in the factory as standard maybe you need to consult the insurance company first.

Yeah would have no issue informing insurance company was just wondering if it could be changed initially

I would think it is in place to preserve a decent battery range, drag increases exponentially with speed so even increasing from 60 to 70 MPH could cause a big reduction in range.
