Hi Everyone.

Me and the wife have just bought a T6 but booked tickets for the Tattoo in January before we had the camper, does anyone know where we can park the van, quite a lot have height restriction barriers. Any information would be useful.

Mortonhall campsite , 15 minutes on the bus from right outside the site into princess street.
really nice site with a bar / restaurant on site , about £20 night when we have stayed ( regularly ! )

Thanks for the info, we've booked to stay at North Berwick it was parking in Edinburgh I was after.

There are plenty of quiet streets you can park on, just south of The Meadows. Probably about a 20 min walk to the castle.

Or you could get the train from North Berwick

Regent Road is also free at the weekend and pretty central. Quite a few vans and coaches park there.

Thanks, we thought about the train but it finishes at night before the tattoo ends.

Worth checking train times again nearer the time. ScotRail run additional late night services from Edinburgh when the festival fortnight is on.

For parking, at 2.3 metres I wouldnt risk the Waverley station multi storey on New Street. However, as above Regent Road or try Carlton Road at the back of station. 10 minute walk through the station itself and then up the hill to the castle. Keeps you in the right side of the city for heading back North Berwick.

Never thought about extra trains, thanks for that.
