Hi - I had a code, P0401 EGR 'A' flow insufficient detected. Low milage (35k) but recently lots of shorter journeys and it's 8 years old so I just replaced with a new Valeo EGR. It is a CAAC engine (no adBlue). Reset codes, bled coolant and it was fine for 200 miles or so. The engine was mapped by Revo (stage 1) 3 years ago
Now I have P0401 Code, but this time P0403 EGR 'A' control circuit / open. I have checked all connections and they are fine. Valeo said P0403 is unusual for new unit. The garage that mapped the van said they just fit new EGRs and they don't need to reset or edit anything.
Has anyone had a similar issue? I either have to return unit to valeo, wait for them to test, return/replace. Go to garage that might just replace EGR, or do I see if I can get someone to use VCDS / ODIS
Van runs well, would not have noticed issue without the warning light
Thanks
