Electric Tailgate / Trunk stopped opening with key 2017/18 T6

@Mark Peo can you post your adaptation map for 6D?

By the way:
Code:
03304 - Response Closing Status of Rear Right Door
008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
I started getting this fault randomly when my bus was less then one year old
and I had no issues with my both side electric doors to date.

Code:
00470 - Company Comfort Databus in Single Wire
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit - Intermittent
This fault indicates CAN-BUS wiring issue.
Most likely damage(cut, corrosion) to one of two CAN-BUS wires.
Thanks to the design and implemented redundancy of the CAN-BUS the communication is not affected.
Controllers communicate with each other via (CAN-H and GND) or (CAN-L and GND).
I have never seen a loss of any controller functionality due to Single Wire CAN-BUS operation mode.

Had a look today for the trunk control module, located at the right D pillar. Unplugged each plug to find the multi plug shows signs of corrosion and the middle plug (possibly power) also has some corrosion as per the photos.

Another problem has also developed after i checked the two modules at the D pillar on the left in relation to the sliding door modules. After unplugging and reconnecting (no corrosion on any pins) the left door will not open eithe on the key or by the button on the dashboard or by the handle. When activating the right door, the left did open slightly. Scanning wit VCDS say

Any suggestions how to clean the connectors on the multiplug? Can it be split?

Cheers

Clean all connectors and pins with any electrical contact cleaner spray (DO NOT USE WD40!).
You can use cotton swabs or anything similar.
After cleaning I would recommend to perform a series of "plug in/plug out" actions of all affected connectors.
Next clear all fault codes and double check if they don't come back.
If they do, then get back to cleaning.

Once all initial functionality has been restored I would suggest the following.
Unplug all connectors in question and apply a little bit of grease to electrical contacts on the "socket" side and replug it together.
Any future water ingress will not cause contact corrosion and chances of disturbing electrical continuity are going to be seriously minimised.

Please post adaptation map of your tailgate controller 6D.

Thanks, I’ll have a look tomorrow and try work out the adaption map for you.

Any thoughts on why I’ve lost connection to the left side door module after I unplugged connections to check those for corrosion?

Robert, adaption file attached. Opened the plug today that exposed the extent of the corrosion with a snapped wire. Have had to order some plugs and wire to do a repair.

Still having issues with the side door after checking connections on the controller.

Ignore this as i have now managed to get the door active.

Just the tailgate to sort. The plugs i ordered are not quite right so need to find the correct ones to re-pin.
