Engine Management Light - VW van centre not available until end July!

You absolutely should. Forewarned is forearmed. Get the fault codes and record them then take it back to the dealer. Keep it to yourself that you have the fault codes then you can determine if the dealer is just trying to fob you off or are being genuine once they take a look.
Those texts you posted have set the alarm bells off for me with them saying 'dont stress' like it's nothing to worry about without them running any diag first to determine if it's serious or not. Good luck.

I feel I may have to learn a few things so that I can be equipped with more knowledge on how to fix things myself

22 litres AdBlue capacity according to the specification - as per page 32 of this VW Transporter doc: https://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/i...ochures/transporter/transporters-brochure.pdf

Apparently applied to later T6.1s, from 2021 and onwards. Mine is 2022 so presumably has the bigger tank.

ah good to see this as was quite confused as just topped up 9 and a bit litres and only showing 5500,

Engine management light still on today, AdBlue on dash still showing 6,500 miles and suggesting a top up of between 7.5 and 10.25 litres. So, I added another 5L and then took the van for a 15 minute drive. Lo and behold the engine management light went off and the AdBlue reading updated to 15,500 miles. So, all seems to be OK. Until the next time.

Good morning… little update, I needed a new EGR cooler… they replaced it no bother and it feels much better driving the van too

Oh also, i have not topped up ad blue yet as the guy who fixed my van told me not to top up until it says 1500miles on the adblue

So the engine management light on our T6.1 remains stubbornly on. AdBlue showing as 14,500 miles. Van driving as normal, no issues.

It’s a strange one. Will need to try a book it in to the local VW van centre after our upcoming trip to France. If I can get a slot that is.
