Expensive wax v Not so expensive wax

I've also used dodo juice supernatural hybrid wax but I used lime prime first to hand correct any blemishes before waxing . Very pleased with the appearance of my Blackberry paint and looks amazing when the sun shines . I maintain the paintwork with red mist tropical spray every now and then . dodo juice products always seem to give a great finish.

Friend of mine uses Naviwax

The beading is superb and lasts a few months

Looks great too

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Well after a hectic house move and my lads birthdays I finally had a chance to use the dodo juice supernatural hybrid wax as recommended by @Polzeylad , so after using far more expensive wax on the van in the past ( zymol ) I decided to give this a go, and got to admit I am really really impressed with the results and how easy it was to apply.

Where and what ceramic coatings should I look for?
Gtechniq Crystal Serum is what ours was done with.
It can be done by yourself but if you get it wrong you'll be taking it off with 3000grit. Oh, and it comes with a 7 year warranty if professionally applied.

G technique Crystal Serum is the professional use only one by a dedicated detailer and probably the way to go.

Crystal serum light is the way to go for the everyday Joe as it can be removed by polishing, this is the one I'm using so it won't cause problems when/ if I need to paint repair the Van.
I bought some last night

That finish looks great! How many coats do you think you will get from a tub?

Had concours but was put onto destiny after having motor done in detailers, only ever topped up coatings on car but really do like finish of it on van but maybe it's down to being a darker colour, but again this was due to detailers saying he swears by destiny as a cheaper alternative to Royal , but does the more expensive price tag justify it over concours ? I'm starting to pickle my own head with this now

I did a test with both on a light silver, doing 50/50 and saw no difference in gloss/shine or the time it lasted. Both are running out and I will be replacing with concours as i prefer it on darker colours and think it just looks a wetter finish.

Thanks @Mojo , the jars are not as big as zymol, but then again neither is the price.....
It will last for a serious while as after doing van it barely scratched the surface of the pot.
Really am impressed with results, and more impressed with the price, so much so that will be using it on the van from now on

I have recently been quoted £1250 + VAT to get this done by a specialist. I remember somewhere else on this forum that mentioned pricing not as high as this for a T6. Is this price (see below) a rip-off or sensible for what is being offered?

3 Day New Car Preparation detail
  • 3 Stage decontamination wash – Removing all non paint related contaminants and road grime
  • Single stage rotary polish – Mainly to prep the surface for the Crystal serum appplication but this will remove any light hazing and swirl marks.
  • Gtechniq CS black protection – Crystal serum application with a Exo V2 hydrophobic top up
  • Total Surface protection bundle – Glass, brake callipers, exhaust tips, engine bay plastic and wheels protected in various G1, C5 applications.
  • Total - £1250.00 + VAT

That seems bit high compared to what I had done over 4 days including ventureshield full front

Realistically £600+vat for 3 days detailing
And using g techniq products.

The csl alone cost me £130. Would be more for the full black version.

And I guess you live somewhere miles from me?? This is a Surrey price, happy to travel for less money :) The van is going into Exploria in early December so might have some opportunities in that neck of the woods at the same time
