External Pop top wrap - Pucer Screens

Have been looking for an external wrap, naively I thought it would be an easy search. After several phone calls to different manufacturers only to find they could not make an external wrap for a side opener I came across Pucer Screens. This is a photo of our first time using it in early October. The wrap is a great fit and stays in place with a couple of bungies that clip onto the hinges, would probably stay in place without these as it is quite rigid. It keeps heat in, light out and condensation away.

Hi, we're also looking for a cover for our side opener and struggling. Are you happy with the quality of the purcer screen? Does it take up much space when not in use?

Seconded @ERC 's question, what's it like to store?
Thanks.

We had a Pucer cover on our Bilbo conversion and did the job very well. The material they use isn't overly flexible so you won't be able to stuff it in to a small gap but space wise ours wasn't much bigger than a polar screen cover

We've bitten the bullet and ordered one; emailed them today and they had one in stock. Will post some pics / dimensions next week. What van / conversion do you have? Oh, and welcome to the forum!

We have booked a site for New Year so hopefully Boris will allow us out!

I'm on my second pucerscreen. Front openers though. Darren is proper helpful. As said they are quite a rigid construction, but this does mean its easy to put round the roof on your own. Cuts all the light out, good thermal properties and also helps reduce noise.

The one for my T4 was custom made (just supply the relevant dims), this was 'off the shelf' so to speak, still a great fit.

Hi the wrap works very well and the fit is great. Daren is very helpful, there was an issue with the finish, after contacting Daren he replaced it within a week free of charge. It was always my intention to personalise the wrap in some way so whilst awaiting the replacement wrap I Used the original screen as a template to make one out of PU coated polyester, will take a picture and post up. As for storage it is light and easily fits between the top of the cupboard and roof or behind the rear doors.

Arrived today. 1m x 30cm x 10cm.

Not tried it on van yet, too much Brexit going on :(

Realised I hadn't followed up on my review.

Company:
Website has lots of variations of T6/5/4/2.5 etc, and different convertors, so should be able to match almost anything you have.

Mine was in stock, and arrived in a couple of days.

Product:
Can't comment on VFM, as I am not sure that anyone else does a side-elevating roof cover, so can't really compare.

Seems well made, robustly put together and well sewn. It is a stiff foil-covered bubble type of material with enough rigidity to stay in place and not flap about.

Fits snugly around the roof. It helps (me being a short@rse) to have a step to attach it; for these side-elevating roofs do the front first!

As the side panel has to slope inwards I sometimes need to push the top half in towards the canvas; I use a trekking pole for this.

In use:
Makes the inside much darker, but can't be helped. Cuts down on outside noise considerably.

We have used it in April and May so far with some very cold nights; the van is noticeably warmer with it in place.

Much reduced condensation on the canvas.

Once you have figured out how to roll it up it is relatively easy to put away.

Size for storage is shown by @PDNC above; it's not a thin wrap you can scrunch up into a bag.

In summary:
Excellent product, makes colder weather camping much more comfortable. Not currently using it, but will be back in the van come September.
