fault code 16056

I’m driving around Shetland (I’m from Stroud, Gloucestershire) wandering what’s going to happen. I’ve discovered that if I don’t rev above about 2500 until engine has reached operating temperature then all is well and operates correctly with no errors (no warnings and correct stop/start)! Surely VW can identify what causes this so that the rogue part can be replaced/repaired???

Yeah it seems totally crazy. Phantom fault. Mines been driving well no problem. I just can’t believe they haven’t addressed it as so many have the same issues

Ok, change the brown (front) pressure sensor a thankfully the problem is solved! Must be my lucky day. Might have to celebrate tonight.

Bit of a pain getting an extended socket and torque wrench on it but managed eventually.

Hope you find a cure soon. Keep us posted.

do you happen to have the part number for this handy? Mine has done the same for the first time today and this seems a good place to start!!

Good luck
