Well after many years of admiring and drooling, we finally purchased our LWB T6, 4 motion 204bhp, needs a few cosmetic massages, passenger rear quarter mainly, but very happy with it, cant believe how quick it is! a bit wallowy but a trip to CRS is planned after the conversion which is booked in for late November with the excellent North Point campers in Stoke, pretty much ticked all the wish list boxes, was a little concerned as its done 118k miles but has full service history, bills for cambelt, water pump, EGR, dual mass etc, but after researching on here calmed my nerves, anything i should be looking out for, any comments greatly appreciated!IMG_6673.jpegIMG_6670.jpeg

great looking van welcome!! oh and the best colour!

If you want some inspirations check out this thread:

Nice van. I have same spec with twin slider.
What type of conversion are you going for?
Have you discussed the twin slider advantages with your converter?
It makes life very easy if you have your gas, water, 240v consumer unit and 12v fuse panel all accessible behind that slider.
Some people have also put a table rail on there so they can attach a table once the door is open.
Also, running the floor right up to the door and not having the plastic step trim gives you a nice void to locate you battery charger and electrical cables.

Going for the Davanco slimline unit so we can have a 130 rib bed, yes discussed the twin slider option with Andy the converter, it was’nt on my van wish list but it came with it, really wanted it to be still usable but its not really practical, the kitchen and fridge will block it off, but as you say very handy for accessing services, good idea about the table and floor though, i’ll definitely mention it thanks

Ohh good point on putting some electrics in the step area - will save trying to cram it all in under one of the seats.

Yeah, you can see my 240v Victron battery charger to the right. Cables leave the van via the grommet under the drivers seat and are routed in conduit under the body cavity and in through a new hole and grommet into the step area and are all then behind that carpeted ply panel that has the 12v isolation switch.
All the wires from the 12v fuse box are routed down into that space too and then enter the rear of the van behind the panel at the rear of the door opening.

Nice van mate whereabouts in stoke are you? I’m near Endon. I’m looking for a convertor for my t5.1 4motion where are north point located?
Cheers

Nice one I’ll have a look.
I’ll pop in see them get a some ideas never knew they existed

Congrats @ciderlad65 , a great colour too.

Cheers, its in the paint shop next week getting the ding done, as well as sportline front and rear spoilers!

Sorry to hijack thread but @Bigsidavies what splashback / shade is that?
I've been in touch with Vanshades but I'm concerned about the combination of my twin slider and Evo kitchen.

Btw nice bus OP!

It’s a ‘perfect fit’ window blind screwed to the rear of the furniture splashback panel.
I have them fastened to the rear of the ply panels where each window is. Blackout and only cost £50 each. Orange on the inside and grey on the rear.

Hi there.
I have just bought a twin slider kombi that im looking for some inspiration ideas for conversion. That battery idea on the step is brilliant.
I havent really any idea how to convert it as yet. I still need the second row of seats in when not away camping in it but happy to remove when camping. Its got twin singles up front and there is only two of us. I was hoping to get electrics fitted under both seats.

loads of ideas and advice on here, great forum, wish I'd discovered it before I bought the van then I'd of known about the 204bitdi mayther! just keeping my fingers crossed, enjoy your van, we love ours, we've had over 30 nights away in ours this year, happy camping
