First Service Software Update

Van went in today for its first service, oil, filter, brake check etc and the service staff told me it needed a software update, I asked what it was for but he just said to iron out some glitches on the infotainment and I probably wont notice any difference, just my curiosity, any Ideas what it was for?

Engine Map? Adblue Map? DSG map? Infotainment FW?

there was a SOS FW issue a while back?

anyone else have an idea?

I presume it the software update to allow Android Auto to play Spotify through the head unit.
