Flashing oil sensor light has come on, message says: workshop.
Just wondering how urgently it needs to be taken there.
Van is ten months old.

LOW OIL PRESSURE

That could be very serious. dont drive until you check below.

check the oil level immediately . . . . .

If its low then top up. - check for any leaks or blue smoke out exhaust.

if its not low then call VW assist. could be oils pump/pressure low or sensor fault.

there will be a code logged if you have VCDS or Carista to read codes?

Yes, that’s potentially v.bad as above call vw assist as they can get a priority slot at the dealer if they take it in.

Assist came out this morning, chap was brilliant.
Rodent had chewed through the sensor cable, be repaired & rerouted it.
I have read complaints on hear about customer service but compared to Ford it is in a different league. Chuffed to bits really as I had so many problems with the Transit, I thought oh no hear we go again.Going to get my Amarok wheels fitted now.

Great news....

So confimed sensor fault - rodent cable damage on oil pressure sensor.

Personally I'd echo those sentiments after the poor aftercare I've experienced with previous new Vauxhall Vivaros

Hi guys,I know this is a years old thread but does anyone have a photo of where the oil pressure sensor goes to ?
Just in the process of changing the engine (cfca ) and on removing the engine the oil pressure sensor has been cut/ripped off before I got the van.

There no obvious wires hanging out the front loom. I've stripped the front loom a bit to try and find it but no joy, just wondering if it's routed under the run with the oil level sensor wires?
No obvious wires hanging there either so a bit stumped at the moment

Any help would be appreciated
