Flexi solar panel removal.

Has anyone removed a Flexi solar panel as ours has failed. A replacement is being sent but how do I get the failed one off. It's on a fibreglass pop top roof.

Has anyone removed a Flexi solar panel as ours has failed. A replacement is being sent but how do I get the failed one off. It's on a fibreglass pop top roof.

I used a 'cheese wire' kit normally used for windscreen removals. It was surprisingly easy to cut through the adhesive beads with 2 people sawing across under the panel.

I cleaned up the residue adhesive with a window scraper and brake cleaning solvent.

You will be lucky if you can remove it without damaging some paint but that will not matter if you are refitting a similar size panel.
