Focal ibus 2.1 with focal inside speakers

Just seeing if anyone can give me any advise on my new setup.
I’ve installed focal ibus 2.1 with focal inside speakers, all plug and play.
The problem is harsh treble, I’ve played with gains, hi lows and it helps slightly but still hurts when turned up.
I wasn’t sure if the issue lay with not having cross overs for the speakers or the need for a dsp?
I never expected amazing sound but this is worse than ome setup

Id say you need to install a crossover. The door speakers and tweeters are spliced together. There is a capacitor on the OEM tweeter that acts as a rudimentary crossover. You’re giving your new tweeters full range.

I did see the capacitor on the oem tweeter now you say that, and nothing on my new ones.
Is this something I could add? Or would I be better off just buying some more, I’d rather not obviously but can’t leave it like this as it’s naff.
