Ended up using 9mm ply. It’s super firm but not too heavy.
Drew it and cut it really carefully. Sanded down the edges.
I was worried about the board pushing down in the upholstery.
Here’s the best bit! Found a single hole in the back of the middle seat bracket. About 14cm up. I countersunk a hole in my board and fed a single screw through into the whole.
It fits nice and snug. It’s basically unmovable now, locked firmly in place. No pressure on the fabric or the clip strip.
Appreciate all the advice. On to the next job, either removing the bulkhead mounts or fitting a reversing camera.
