Forcing DPF Regen. EML light flashing, Limp Mode

I have a T6 Caravelle, CXEB 150Kw Engine, that goes into limp mode.
It needs the DPF to regen, but that has gone too sooty for normal regen, due to running with fuel light on.
Hence need to force regen.
Using VCDS 01 Engine
Security S12345
Adaptation -> IDE07903 Adaptation of Ash
Enter new value of 0.01
Do It!!
Back menu
Basic Settings
IDE01637 Regen While Driving
Go!

Exit VCDS
Now the regen light should be on the dashboard, and regen should take place, perhaps as much as 50 miles.

I've had that done, cost £200. But my problems are all around excessive oil consumption generating soot in the DPF, so any cleaning is only temporary.

Well my CXEB 150kw engine will go 15 miles, with good fuel in the tank, soot goes to 30gm before regen starts. It does not put the light on the dash, but the Carista shows increased gas temperature. Takes 15 miles to come back down to 9 gm and extra fuel switches off. If I have yellow fuel light on regen does not start, but soot keeps going up. So just putting 5litres fuel in to get home is a bad move, as soot goes very high. At some point, I don't know the level, the main regen will not kick in and the engine EML light flashes and goes to limp mode. Then I have fully fuel, then use the VCDS to force regen.
