Do we have any members based on the EU that could possibly help me out?
I'm trying to buy a replacement diesel heater remote fob and thought I'd found one on eBay. It's in Germany, and I won't the auction as the only bidder. But, the listing said then ship to Europe. Well, the UK is part of Europe, right? Well, no. Not according to eBay. When they say Europe, the mean the EU.
So, I'm wondering if there's a helpful member who'd be willing to let me send the remote to them, and they could then either send on to me, or keep for me to pick up when they're next in the UK or I'm next across the channel?
I might not need it and the seller might agree to send to me, but I'm not hopeful.

I'm flying to Germany next week (business trip). I'll meet my parents there for a coffee.
Contact me and you can send it to them - I'll bring it back tax free.
If bits are a bit bigger (and not urgent) they are coming to visit us (or we are visiting them (and the in laws)) up to 4-5 times a year by van.
Thanks for the offer - that might actually be a better solution than @TeeCeeJay colleague as delivery to Germany means about 10 euros less in postage.
