Think it effects the kombi tho
I think we all used to think that, but It seems that it doesn't matter for either VAT/Benefit in Kind/Corp Tax/Personal tax.
The VW dealer was telling me a few weeks ago; that it all comes down to VIN code on the windscreen; weather there is a 1 or 2 in the code; I'll get him to confirm it.
The Coke-a -Cola BIK ruling is a real issue; I think so long as the vehicle stays at the registered place of work at night is never taken home; is a pool vehicle used by many employees; has no personal effects left in it........etc etc you can claim the VAT, other than that anything other than a straight panel van/pick up is very risky these days; particularly for a posh VW

@Olly hall, there is a legal alternative though. Get a company like SV Tech to down plate your axles from those of a T32 to those of a T30 or T28 if you don’t carry the weight. That way you can put lesser rated wheels and tyres on and never hold the worry of that “what if”.
I believe it is a purely paper based exercise and you don’t literally have to swap out axles etc. @andythom188 please can we have your input having gone this route yourself.
Just a paper exercise on there part m8 fill the forms in pay the fee and away you go
