thanks but I've found a set now. The post early on in this thread stating VW sending the wrong pad to manufacturers for copying seems true as every aftermarket pad that is suggested by using the reg number is wrong. my pad is 170mm (approx) long wheras everything suggested is 165mm long.

Interesting.....how are VW going to deal with this?
Birmingham have 4 vans in their yard that are not driveable. In all cases they took the pads off apparently not knowing they didnt have stock. I have told them not to go anywhere near my pads unless they are actually holding the correct replacements.
Sooooo....the search is on!!
