Bought a few weeks ago - works absolutely amazing, but T6 now sold so not needed.

This fantastic little box converts your ‘wired’ Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to a wireless system. Plug it into the media wired USB port and it automatically connects to your phone for full use (as if it’s wired). So much better than trailing cables etc.

I believe it works with many different models / brands. Please check the website. All I know is that it worked flawlessly on my Transporter T6 with the Discover Media unit.

I'll second that.
I use CarlinKit 5.0 with my DM and it works perfectly.
I literally can't see any difference compared with Wireless AndroidAuto on MIB3.

Interested, but which port is media wired in a T6.1?

T6.1 uses MIB3 so the Wireless AndroidAuto/CarPlay is a "built-in" feature on a high end Infotainment Unit

Only the upgraded factory sat nav unit has wireless in the 6.1 the standard radio is wired only

Either of the usb c ports in the lower cubby hole are enabled for CarPlay etc
