Fuel Efficiency

I thought trebling your speed made the journey less of a drag, or am I getting mixed up?

I used to work on the principal that if you are going to break the speed limit anyway the faster you ride a bike the less time you spend speeding so the less chance there is of getting caught. I think Stephen Hawkings was working on the formula.

Was reading in my manual today that by leaving the wind mirrors on the heat mode reduces fuel economy?????
I’m really surprised at this?
I cant imagine much of a drop, perhaps someone on here is in the know.
Thought was just coming from Engine Charge!
I know that Air con uses more fuel but really surprised about the heated mirrors???
Would this mean the heated windscreen when on would have an effect as well?
Any other Mods that can reduce fuel consumption apart from a diesel heater.
Much appreciated any answers

I think it's anything that causes the alternator to kick in and recharge the battery. So, everything powered by the battery. It's my understanding that it has barely any effect though and what can you do about it anyway? As a result I've never worried about it.

Any electrical item uses energy. When driving, that electrical energy can only come from the alternator, which is powered by the engine, which uses diesel/petrol.
The higher the electrical power of the item, the more diesel/petrol it uses.
