Fuse location for steering wheel phone controls

Hi guys, anybody know where I would find the fuse to disconnect the factory steering wheel controls in a 2016 t6 Highline. I have a fuse layout but the only thing I can find that resembles the phone module doesn't have a fuse in that position. Just so you know what I'm doing I have had a Pioneer head unit fitted along with a Connects2 module, the guys who fitted it couldn't get the phone buttons to work and Connects2 said I need to remove a fuse for the factory phone module but couldn't tell me which fuse it is. Really starting to wish I had stuck with the original radio. Any help would be great

Factory phone module is on a supply for some other kit to. Pop the cubby hole or top glove box out on the passenger side iirc the BT module is behind there just unplug it. But iirc T6 didn't come with a BT module it was T5.1 I can't recall ever working on a T6 as their radio had BT built in to the radio. I might be mistaken. I'd need to see an auto scan is your phone still trying to connect to said module. If you have had it professionally fitted and paid for it in my mind they should be sorting this. Maybe it's just me?

Thanks for your reply Dav-Tec

Yes professionally fitted although to be honest I don't think they really knew what they were doing, I would go back to them but I don't think they know what to do with it.

When first fitted the parking sensors didn't show up and steering wheel controls didn't work, I had to take it back to them to sort that out which they did after they spoke to Connects2. They then said everything was good until I found the steering wheel controls for the phone didn't work, they got on the phone to Connects2 again who said a fuse needed removed to isolate the original module but no-one could say which fuse it was. There was supposed to be a guy at Connects2 who knew what to do but he was off so they couldn't help any more. I emailed Connects2 myself but to be honest I haven't got anywhere as they can't tell me which fuse which they are saying will sort it, but as you say its not likely to be a fuse solely for the steering wheel controls and it certainly isn't marked as such on the fuse layout.

My phone connects to the head unit by bluetooth ok, its the phone controls on the steering wheel that don't work.

If you have any ideas I would really appreciate it.

The Connect2 canbus doesn't provide the parking sensor display. You either have the visual with the audio or fit the T6 module version for the parking sensor display

Also have a look on the Connects2 to see if they have cut the the right wire to sync with your Pioneer

I now have the parking sensors displayed on screen, something to do with them not having connected an audio lead or something along those lines. Only thing I am missing is the phone controls from steering wheel. Do you think its worth checking which wire they have cut to see if its the right one. I guess I could get some info from Connect2 to check what It should be connected to. Thanks

Off the top of my head there are 3 wires coming out the connect2 but it sounds like they have it right if everything else is working. Could possibly be the mute wire that hasn't been connected. Also have have you tried a long press as that activates some features on my MFSW

There is no fuse for the BT module as its integrated into the factory headunit, in older vans it was a separate module external to the headunit but not with T6s

Thought that was the case. But for the life of me I couldn't remember. Pro ably to much Greek Larger last night .

There's a 3.5mm Jack that should plug in the back of the radio of the Pioneer for the steering controls make sure they've plugged it it. These sound like a right bunch of cowboys

Thanks for your replys Dav-Tec, I'm leaving it for now as heading to Donegal for a couple of days. I'll pull the head unit out next week to see if anything makes sense although I doubt that....LOL

Strange thing is I can get into the screen menu from the voice command button on the steering wheel so it must be connected to some extent

No the screen menu if it's the one where you can change the screen size and options for the infotainment adapter that button press is seen from the canbus network.

Try buttons like volume up and down buddy
