My car is a 2017 Volkswagen Multivan T6 and I'm experiencing issues with the gearbox. The problem occurred at around 290,000 km. When starting the car, it won't engage in any gear except for the slow-speed mode, which is the S gear. Later on, even the S gear doesn't work, so I have to start the car in first gear manually. When reversing, it won't engage in reverse gear, so I have to start the car in first gear and then engage the reverse gear. I am wondering if this is a common issue with Volkswagen gearboxes, as one of my friends who owns the same car model has experienced a similar problem. Can this issue be fixed, and if so, how much would it cost approximately?
