Getting sick when I stay in the van

Quite concerning these reports. Makes you think is it worth getting an underslung gas tank, so there’s nothing in the van of concern.

I drained and removed the diesel tank and have kept more windows open but not stayed in the van enough to be sure it was the issue as of yet.

Off to Kent soon to visit family the back up to Scottish west cost so will find out soon enough

What mattress do you have?

We have a brand new foam mattress in our pop top which has that new chemical smell coming from it and I'm struggling to get rid of it.
I've only slept on it once and did wake with a headache but put that down to the whisky! ;)

Hiya, maybe try airing it out at home for a good while, the gasses from the chemical reaction when being made need to seep out from the interior of the mattress. The instructions for it should say that?

No instructions but good idea.

I've just popped the roof up and opened the side vents.... Its easier than taking it out of the van and watching the foam mattress blowing around in the windy garden! :D

I have a Van/king bed with a mattress topper from stee free but toppers a year old now so don’t think it’s that causing my problems. I’m thinking about making some sort of custom flat pc style fans mounted to a board that could be pinched into the sliding window to help increase airflow

Did you see the recent post using kitchen extractor ducting to fit a slightly open front door window?
