Ghost installers - northwest

It’s a Konami code, I did actually use that sequence for a while, but when I took the van for a service or a wash etc it was causing nightmares for whoever needed to start it. (I don’t bother with the valet mode, I should, but it’s easier just to give the code)

How does it work without MFSW? Just a series of switch operations using whats available?

Ghost software uses a limited number of buttons on the T6 from what I’ve read, as above they have to be on the data bus.

If you don’t have a MFSW I’m sure you can use foot peddles and one or two other buttons on the dash plus the app if needed.

I didn’t even know about the app!

I didn’t realise there was an app either, it seems to have very mixed reviews though. Some people saying it’s seamless, others saying it only works 1 in 10 times.
I’m wondering what the range is too, my van is probably only 20-25 feet away from my bedroom window at night.
I can understand the convenience of the app but I think I’ll give it a miss, if someone happens to nick your phone along with your keys then they’ve got your van too.

If your phone is locked then the app can't be opened so it's not too much of a security risk.

That depends on your phones "background app refresh" settings.

According to the instruction manual the app should work but after managing to get it connected via Bluetooth once but couldn’t get it to actually disarm the ghost. Then deleted the Bluetooth connection from the phone to try again but now I can’t get it to pair.

So I gave up and tried to get on with some work but then couldn’t get my laptop to connect to work. Not the most productive of mornings!

My installer actually advised me to not bother with the app. He said that he tells everyone the same and to not put the stickers in the windows and tell thiefs what they are dealing with
